Terms of Use

Last updated: October 21, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) cover the Tech for Everyone Reader (“the Reader”): the website at tfereader.app and the Reader apps for iPhone, iPad, and Android. The Reader is provided by Tech for Everyone (“we” or “us”). By using the Reader, you agree to these Terms. If you are a student under 18, please read them with a parent, guardian, or teacher.

  • The Reader is free. There are no accounts, no ads, and no in-app purchases.
  • You may read, print, and share the books for learning, at home or in class.
  • Please don’t sell, republish, or pass the books off as your own.
  • Be kind and use the Reader as intended.
  • How we handle information is explained in our Privacy Policy.

You may use the Reader to read the Tech for Everyone textbooks for personal, classroom, and homeschool learning. You don’t need an account, and you don’t need to give us any personal information.

Teachers and schools may install the Reader on shared or school-managed devices, show it in class, and direct students to it.

The textbooks, illustrations, activities, and other content in the Reader belong to Tech for Everyone and are protected by copyright. © 2026 Tech for Everyone.

You may:

  • read the books on any number of devices;
  • print or copy pages for your own learning or for students in your class;
  • quote short passages with credit to Tech for Everyone.

You may not:

  • sell, rent, or charge for access to the content;
  • republish the books or large parts of them on another website, app, or platform;
  • remove our name or copyright notices, or present the content as your own;
  • use the content to train or build commercial products, including AI models, without our written permission.

The Tech for Everyone name and logo are our trademarks. Please don’t use them in a way that suggests we endorse you or your product.

For other uses, such as district-wide printing or adapting a book, contact us.

Please don’t:

  • try to break, overload, or get around the security of the Reader;
  • copy the Reader’s content in bulk with automated tools;
  • use the Reader in a way that breaks the law or harms others.

Some pages link to other Tech for Everyone sites, such as the textbook store, Classroom Bundles, and SkillByte practice lessons. Those sites have their own terms and privacy policies. When you buy something from our store, the store’s terms apply to that purchase.

If you downloaded the Reader from Apple’s App Store or Google Play, you also agree to that store’s terms. Apple and Google are not responsible for the Reader or its content and have no obligation to provide support for it. If you use the iPhone or iPad app, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies, and these Terms add to it.

We work hard to keep the books accurate and the Reader working, but we provide the Reader “as is” and “as available.” We don’t promise that it will always be available, error-free, or right for every purpose. Technology changes quickly, so some details in the books may become out of date.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Tech for Everyone is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or any loss of data, that comes from using or not being able to use the Reader. Because the Reader is free, our total liability for any claim about it is limited to $0. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

We may update the Reader or these Terms from time to time. When we change the Terms, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. If you keep using the Reader after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
